THE JOURNEY OF MOST SUCCESSFUL FOUNDATION TRAINING PROGRAM

When We, at ICAD, thought of Foundation Training Program long back in 2008, there are many questions -

1. What will be milestones in this long 5 years journey?
2. Can we devise the course that can take care not only of JEE/NEET rank but also of Board and toughest Olympiad, KVPY, AMTI, etc?

We had our First Entrance for Foundation in 2009, and selected just 20 students. Students' grooming with proper fundamentals in Science and Mathematics started. Students started enjoying it as it is quite different and challenging from their school curriculum. For the first time, they realize that curriculum can be tough to understand, requires practice, and can be application oriented. They started understanding real applications of science and mathematics. They started enjoying studies. School Teachers and authorities surprised with their growing intellect.

The very first Result was of NTSE when 8 of these 20 got through. NTSE used to be conducted in VIII standard in those days. We have seen few new students joining in IX and few students dropping out too.

In next 3 years, we have seen these guys developing like anything. They were getting sharp enough to crack many competitive examinations during schooling including Homi Bhabha, and toughest Regional Mathematics Olympiad (RMO). Everybody of Foundation batch scored 94% and above in their X board. Board toppers were also Foundation students though we never claimed it.

In XI and XII standard Foundation Students started showing their spark. Rupanshu cracked Indian National Mathematics Olympiad, Ameya got selected for Indian National Chemistry Olympiad (top 30 of India). Anuj and Rupanshu got selected for Indian National Physics Olympiad. Anuj was one of the two students of India to get selected For INPhO. Rupanshu and Anuj represented India in International and Asian Physics Olympiad respectively and won Silver and Bronze Medals for India. This happens for the First time in the history of Nagpur. That was indeed a great moment. The dream that we thought to be impossible to achieve came true. Ameya Prabhune, Anurag Bhardwaj, Rupanshu Ganvir, Aditya Bhagwat qualified KVPY. Most of the Foundation students done very well in NSEP, NSEC, NSEA, AMTI etc. However, the most important final destination is yet to be achieved.

While the foundation batch is in XI, toppers of competitor claimed foundation to be of no use in their interview with newspapers. Our students just took it positively and worked even harder.

The whole city got surprised with our very First Result of Foundation batch in JEE(Main) 2014. Rupanshu was highest scorer with 328 marks out of 360. Ameya was second highest with 318. Anurag and Aditya got 309 and 308 respectively. All 4 crossed prestigious 300 mark.

In JEE Advanced, Rupanshu stood top ranked with AIR 24. Aditya, Ameya, Anurag got JEE AIR of 408, 442, 445 respectively. First 4 out of 5 rankers of the city were ICADians.

And lastly, Anurag and Rupanshu stood First Maharashtra topper in Board in Open and Reserved Category.

The journey started in 2009 culminated in huge success in 2014 with all our dreams come true. ICADians not only cracked Board, highly prestigious Olympiads, represented Country in International Olympiads, but also stood topper in their respective JEE pursuit.

Future batches continued with this glorious tradition. Now, almost every student of foundation batch gets 99 percentile and above, crack toughest Olympiads, and get in top 100 ranks in JEE, or easily score more than 600 in NEET. In latest Result of 2019, Vedant Saboo stood Vidarbha topper with AIR 147, and Chinmay Ratnaparkhi (AIR 367) is the second student to qualify Indian National Chemistry Olympiad (INChO).

The dream of ideal Foundation training program, aimed to crack all Prestigious examinations of student life, come true.
